Chat with your documents

Ask questions about your PDFs, contracts, proposals and spreadsheets in natural language – with answers cited down to the page and section. When you want it, the answer comes back as a finished Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF file.

Web search with cited sources

For complex questions the AI works in several steps and backs up what it says – through a European search service that receives only the query text and the web address being retrieved, no user identifier and no document content.

Build agents that work inside Outlook, Teams and SharePoint, plus GitHub, GitLab and Google Workspace – visually, without code. Changes stay a draft until you publish them.

Your own instance

Every customer gets a dedicated instance that we operate – separate from every other and deletable in full at any time. It can run in your own data centre if you need that; we recommend letting us run it, because updates then reach you straight away and no maintenance work lands on your side.

Connected to your systems

Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, GitHub and GitLab – including your own self-hosted GitLab instance – connected per user, with that user’s own permissions. The FILERO document management system is connected as a beta integration and is in use at customers.

We set up your own instance and connect it to your documents and systems – a standard setup goes live in about two weeks, and larger projects take correspondingly longer.

We bring your team on to the platform – introduction and training are available for a fee – and support day-to-day operations: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00, by email, video call and phone.

About us

Two founders from Munich

Simon and Jan met while studying computer science and working at BMW in Munich on a dual study programme – the German model that alternates university terms with paid engineering work at a company. A shared project became Intra AI: AI that a mid-sized company can genuinely put to work – accessible, secure and auditable.

Frequently asked questions

The questions prospective customers ask us most often.

Where is our data stored?

Development, data storage and AI inference all happen in Germany. Every customer gets their own instance, separated from every other. If you need it, we will run that instance in your own data centre.

Is the platform GDPR-compliant?

Data protection is the foundation, not an add-on: a data key per user, permanent deletion on request, self-service data export and a complete audit log are all standard. Intra AI holds no certification of its own – we work to the control catalogue of Article 32 GDPR and disclose our technical and organisational measures in full.

Do you provide a data processing agreement (DPA)?

Yes. The Article 28 GDPR data processing agreement is part of our terms – including the annex on technical and organisational measures and the list of subprocessors. Your legal team or data protection officer can review it at any time before signing, including before the intro call. Write to us at info@intra-ai.de.

Can internal documents and systems be connected?

Yes. The AI answers from your documents with citations and, where you allow it, performs actions in your systems – creating a draft in the mailbox, adding a calendar entry, filing a document in SharePoint. You decide which actions each agent may perform. If your system is not among them, we build the integration.

Does Intra AI produce finished documents?

Yes. A conversation can produce a finished Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF file – with a preview in the browser, a version history and the option to change individual passages rather than regenerate the whole document. The feature is on by default.

How long does onboarding take?

A standard instance is live in about two weeks. More extensive integrations take longer – depending on scope and infrastructure. A dedicated integration to a system with a documented interface is a matter of weeks, not quarters.

What does it cost?

The price has three parts: a one-off setup fee covering scoping, integration and rollout, a monthly fee covering hosting, support and maintenance, and a licence per employee. Introducing and training your team is available for a fee. What the total comes to depends on how complex your case is and how much bespoke work it involves – we work out the figure for you after the intro call. We already use Microsoft Copilot. Why Intra AI?

Because the two answer different questions. Copilot lives inside Word, Excel and Outlook, and it is strong there. Intra AI is the layer above: your own instance with development, data storage and AI inference in Germany, a choice of several open-weight models, agents you can restrict action by action, and integrations to systems outside the Microsoft world. Plenty of companies run both side by side – the detailed comparison is on our comparison page.

What happens to our data if we cancel?

You get everything back and we keep nothing. During the term you export conversations, projects and uploaded files yourself at any time. On termination we provide all exportable data on request within 14 days in a machine-readable standard format – JSON, CSV or XML, with uploaded files in their original format. A 30-day transition period applies from the end of the contract, extendable once by up to three months on request. We charge nothing for the data export itself. Only support beyond that, in migrating to another provider, is billed by effort. After that we delete all data irreversibly and confirm the deletion in text form on request.

Do you offer training and support?

Yes. Introducing and training your team is available for a fee, and we build it around the work your people actually do. Technical support runs during business hours – Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00, by email, video call and phone.
